This may be familiar to a lot of you guys. And why not! It was a Johnny Depp film after all. Based on 'The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow', this show does not capture our attentions as much as the film did. Starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie as the leads Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills, the show premieres with a fantastic plot of the arrival of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. It is up to these two witnesses to prevent the disaster.
Both the actors do their best to provide with entertaining performances, but soon the story becomes too dry to get any more juice out. The second season specially was a disappointment as there was no discernable end visible. The third season shows the entry of the legendary Pandora and her evil schemes to wreck havoc among the human realm.
Supporting cast includes Lyndie Greenwood, Katia Winter, Orlando Jones and a very memorable performance by Fringe's John Noble.
I would suggest everyone to keep this show as a standby, something to watch while travelling and not to be taken too seriously. What started as a horror story soon gets 'been there done that'. By the end, every episode ending can be guessed 20 minutes in advance.
There is not a lot to say about this show as there is no deeper meaning, moral grey areas or significant character developments as such.
Keeping it short I take your leave here. Let me know your views on the show. Let me know if you need any more information about Sleepy Hollow. And as always, I am open to discussions. Hit me up on Facebook/Twitter. Subscribe to receive more autopsies from the small screen. Fare Thee Well
